نظّمت GIZورشة عمل مع شركائها من ممثلي الدول المضيفة للاجئين الفلسطينيين، ضمن المرحلة الثانية من مشروع "تعزيز تأثير اللاجئين الفلسطينيين على ظروفهم المعيشية"، ناقشت أهمية تعزيز التبادل الاستراتيجي والحوارات الفنية بين ممثلي الدول المضيفة للاجئين الفلسطينيين بما يصب في خدمة اللاجئين الفلسطينيين.
وبحثت الورشة التي عقدت في مدينة لارنكا القبرصية على مدى ثلاثة أيام، أوراق عمل متنوعة تتصل باستراتيجيات هذه المؤسسات وهيكلياتها واحتياجاتها لبناء قدراتها، ومجالات التعاون المشترك بين ممثلي الدول المشاركة بدعم وتيسير من GIZ وتركزت الجلسات على تفعيل مجموعة التعاون التقني وتوضيح مهامها والآليات والأطر الزمنية والتنفيذية لعملها.
وشارك في الورشة وفد دائرة شؤون اللاجئين بمنظمة التحرير الفلسطينية برئاسة عضو اللجنة التنفيذية لمنظمة التحرير الفلسطينية الدكتور أحمد ابو هولي، رئيس لجنة الحوار اللبناني – الفلسطيني الدكتور باسل الحسن، ومدير عام المخيمات بدائرة الشؤون الفلسطينية بوزارة الخارجية الأردنية أسامة علقم بالنيابة عن عطوفة المهندس رفيق خرفان..
Workshop in Larnaca to enhance cooperation between host countries and GIZ
GIZ organized a workshop with its partners from the representative offices of Palestinian refugee host countries, within the second phase of the project “Strengthening the Impact of Palestinian Refugees on Their Living Conditions,” to discuss the importance of strengthening strategic exchange and technical dialogue between the representatives of Palestine refugee host countries in order to best serve Palestinian refugees.
The workshop, which was held in the Cypriot city of Larnaca over a period of three days, discussed various working papers related to the strategies, structures, and needs of the host country institutions to build their capacities, as well as mechanisms of cooperation between representatives of the participating countries, with the support and facilitation of GIZ. The cooperation between host countries was formalized by re-activating the technical working group, whose mandate, mission, and timeline were clearly delineated during the workshop.
Participating in the workshop were: a delegation from the Department of Refugee Affairs (DORA) of the Palestine Liberation Organization, headed by a member of the Executive Committee of the PLO, Dr. Ahmad Abu Holi, the Chairman of the Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee (LPDC), Dr. Bassel Al-Hassan, and Director General of the Camps in the Department of Palestinian Affairs in the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Osama Alqam, attending on behalf of the Director-General of the Department of Palestinian Affairs (DPA) Eng. Rafiq Khirfan.
